RECEIVING AND GIVING YOUR TESTIMONY.

A Christian testimony is the story you tell on how you became born again or a particular thing the Lord has done for you that is worth sharing with people around, that can build the faith of other people. This story should be one that can encourage, comfort, and exhort those who are passing through similar situations. Psalm 119:24 “Your statutes are my delight; they are my counsellors” (NIV). Testimonies come to you the way visions come to you, the way you dream and the way faith comes to you. You don’t ask for faith, faith comes by hearing and what you hear is the message of Christ which comes to you. To confirm to you, you have your testimonies as always. Your testimonies are pleasing to the heart. When testimonies come your way, they are to counsel you as professionals on the way you should go over a situation or circumstance. Any decision you wish to take, testimony will always come your way. We are surround by a great cloud of witnesses, which are your testimonies. Therefore, you cannot live life as one without a Counsellor, you have Counsellor. The Father spoke them into you, and you received them from the Father in order to build up your life and strengthen you, that you may live in your victory, never in defeat and confusion. For He has not given us the spirit of confusion but of peace. If you fall into mistake the testimony will show you how you will come out of it. The way out is there for you, unless you refuse to obey the instruction being passed unto you by your Counsellor. What situation are you? There is a Counselor and you will never be in defeat, chaos and frustration. The customs, practices, rules and principles of life are imbedded in the love of God. Do unto others as you would have them to do to you. Luke 6:31 “love your neighbour as yourself”, Romans 13:9d. You know God and His character, He will never do evil, and He is never a destroyer. God gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life, He cannot be love and a killer, a destroyer. He came to give life to the Saints and to give it abundantly. When you know that the content of your prayer is redefined and becomes noble. God causes His mercy to flow from His bowl without you requesting for anything at all. Love is His character, He is life and life giver. He will not destroy any life. But the adversary came to kill, to steal and destroy. Knowing God’s character and principles will change your entire life. Your Christian journey will be revived, light will shine on your journey, understanding and wisdom of God will accompany you everywhere you go and on whatever you lay your hands upon. You live life counselled, love is imparted on you, and you are full of knowledge in the light of Jesus. The law that God puts in you don’t break it at all. The Word of God teaches us to be wise so that we don’t go foul of the law, you cannot break the law without hurting yourself. The law revives you, in the midst of the situation you find yourself, you are revived and strengthened. The statutes of the Lord is trustworthy, they will never fail you. It makes you to be wise and be most sought-after, people will want to listen to the words of wisdom that come from you; words of knowledge and life. When you follow the law of God, it is right and perfect. It will definitely bring joy to your heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant; it is like when you are confessing in the Word as “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path” that is what you mean. In the presence of the command of God, there is light and there is no darkness. The commands of the Lord are authoritative and dominant, they always rule. The fear (that is love) of the Lord endures forever. The fear of God is the Love of God, because God does not expect you to fear him, but to love Him, so you need to always reverence God and not to fear Him. There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear. If you are under fear, the devil will use it against you. God has never given us the Spirit of fear but of love, power and of a sound mind. Be careful of fear, it is an instrument of the devil, to kill, steal and destroy. The ordinances of the Lord are certain and righteous. The pure in heart will see God. We have the righteousness of the Word, therefore we believe. The Word of God is true, it has blessed me, delivered me, saved me. It supplies all my needs and I am more than supplied. You live in divine abundance, it is only found in the Word and it only manifests in the life of the believer, the redeemed of the Lord. 1 John 5:9-13 “We accept man’s testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which He has given about His Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (NIV). Once you have this eternal life, there is testimony for you always. Anyone who has this testimony in his heart has all the good things in abundance. Roman 5:5 “And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us” (NIV). 2 Corinthians 1:21 & 22 “Now, it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come” (NIV). He who believes the Son has this testimony in his heart, that treasure in your heart makes the testimony to appear and walk in your life. It happens and comes to you, it will never leave you, and it is a deposit that guarantees you as a child of God, you belong to God, one who has been translated from darkness to the kingdom of light. It’s a testimony of light and of God’s divine presence. God’s presence is in your heart, He lives in you, and you are One with Him. When you believe in the testimony, God will live in you and walk with you. God Himself is God of testimony because He created everything. Your heart gladdens when you see what the Lord is doing for you. He shares His testimony and encourages His own children to live life of testimony; a vibrant life, a life of hope, a sweet life, a life of meditation, a true life. That is where the greatness is, you live true life; God’s life. God is working it out. Though outwardly, we are wasting away but inwardly we are being renewed day by day. The inmost being comes out shining and strong. It is a new dawn. The new things will start happening and they are for your benefit. Mark 1:10&11 “As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased” (NIV). That was a testimony. The day you were born again that voice came to you that you have a testimony and people listens to you and you will testify of the Lord. The Spirit of God will not just descend on you, He’s already inside of you as a sign of your anointing and people will see this sign in your life. Any time or any day you share your testimony, this voice will be confirmed and the Word of God will come true in your life. God is pleased with your testimony because you are not here on your own, you are here because you received a testimony. Those who struggle to share their testimony live in doubt. Most times when you share your testimony the kingdom of hell is in pain, in defeat and frustration. The demons struggling with your mouth, telling you not to share your testimonies, never listen to them. Break yourself free from the bondage of doubt so that you won’t lose your testimony and you will be free to share your wondrous story. But when you share your testimony, there is always victory, joy, breakthrough in the testimony you shared, it causes people to stay anointed, encourages people to stand in the assembly of the righteous. Isaiah 33:24 “No one living in Zion will say, I am ill and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven” (NIV). The people of God will never confess in agreement with the adversary, they always confess the Word. The testimony of the Word is greater because it confirms the good things in the Word; healing, safety, deliverance. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. The truth is the Word of God.I leave you with the Word!
