JOINT WITH CHRIST IN GLORY (CONT’D)

Romans 8:14–17 (NIV): “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory”. You cannot be led if these two things don’t happen in your life. One is to be born of the Spirit. Secondly, to be filled with the Spirit, then third, led by the Spirit. How can you be born of the Spirit? To be born of the Spirit is to be born again. John 1:12–13 (NIV): “Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. For we are not born of corruptible seed but of incorruptible seed, of the ingrafted and living Word of God. ‘If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and we believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, then we are saved. For as many that call on the name of the Lord will saved’. That is what it means to be born again. You confess with your mouth and you believe in your heart; where God lives within’. It is coming from within. He reconciled us to Himself through Jesus. For in Christ, it pleased God not to be chasing us for sin committed but into righteousness; to make us righteous. From sin to righteousness. The same way He made Jesus to be sin, that is how He made us to be righteous. We were bad but He made us to be good. We lived a life of impurity but He made us to be holy. We lived a life of sin but He made us to be holy. We were guilty but He freed us and made us justified. You are justified. You are free. You are innocent. You have committed no offence. You are not under any condemnation because Christ is at work in you to will and to perfect His good pleasure. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works. There is no deceit in what God has done. He lavished His grace upon us. We bathe in His love, bask in His light and revel in His wisdom. He is our Father, amen. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. You can’t be led by Spirit if you are not born of the Spirit. The three must happen; to be born of the Spirit, filled with the Spirit and be led by the Spirit. You won’t be in doubt again when you are being led by God. Doubt cripples and works against you. It hinders you. With the Spirit’s leading you are acting and speaking in faith. You will not speak against God, the Word or your destiny. You speak to possess them because believing is possessing. You have what God says in His Word that you have. You can do all through Christ who strengthens you. For we don’t have the Spirit of sickness or diseases nor death. We don’t have the Spirit of bondage. We don’t have the Spirit that takes us into slavery or ruin, Spirit that makes us afraid to do anything good. For He has not given us the Spirit of love but of power, of love and of sound mind. We have the Spirit that causes us to be filled from above. Tell yourself, you have the ability. Confess your ability. You have ability by the grace of God. You are receiving divine ability because God is working on you. We are extraordinary. His grace has become our grace, His strength, our strength. He quickened us out of death and brought us to life. He chased away that evil spirit that tormented and caused fear in us. That spirit that is asking us where is your God? He brought us from death unto life. Life is at work in us. Those who are in spiritual death, death is at work in them, that is why they live in fear. But those who are born of the Spirit, life is at work in them. They know their God and they are doing great exploits. For we have not receive a Spirit that makes us a slave to fear but a spirit of sonship. You are a child of God; like Father, like son. You are like your Father, God. You are created in His image. You are born of the Spirit. God is a Spirit. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Naturally, we were born in the flesh, but when we confessed the Lord Jesus, He came into our hearts. He lives in us and we are One with Him. We are His Children. There are children of the devil; the adversary. It says, ‘You are like your father, the devil and the wish of your father, you want to carry out. He has been a murderer and there is not truth in Him. and when he speaks a lie, it is his language and he is the father of lies’.Naturally, when we were born, we were born into satan. The natural people, you don’t need to tell them to do evil things; crimes, it is natural to them. Doing things as of their father, the devil. But we have overcome the devil when we encountered the Lord Jesus. We are strong because the Word is in us and we have overcome the evil one. We are the children of God. In Christ, God is making children of Himself. Children not of natural decent nor of human decision or of the will of a father but born of God. We are born into God. We belong to God. We are God’s children; His sons and daughters. In Him we cry, ‘Abba Father’. He is our Father. ‘Our Father, who hath in Heaven, hallowed be Your name…’. there is a meeting. There is an encounter. A miracle has happened. You are a miracle and you are for signs and wonders. The Spirit is from above; it came from heaven. Initially you came from the ground, from earth. It is not the spirit that came first. The flesh happened before the spirit happened. We were first born of the flesh then the spirit came. All have their glories. There is glory for the earthly and there is a glory for the heavenly. A glory for the celestial and a glory for the terrestrial. Glory differs from glory. The glory you have in the spiritual is superior to the glory you have from the earth. Some people, they are not Christians, they carry one kind of glory. The glory they have is perishable. We fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen. For that which is seen is temporary while that which is unseen is eternal. Some people, they are not born again, their glory is temporary but you have a glory beyond what you can see. It is eternal. By Him, we all cry ‘Abba Father’. The moment you become born again, your communion should start immediately. The way the new born baby cries for food, that is the way you should cry and crave for spiritual milk. If a baby is born and not being fed, he will be dying gradually. He will be malnourished. The starting of so many Christians is very faulty, it is not filled with energy. If your starting is strong, it carries you. You will not be foot-dragging. You will not be doubting. When a baby is well fed, they’ll say it is a bouncing baby, looking fine and robust. That is how we should be spiritually. We are children of God and we must cry ‘Abba Father’. That is the spiritual fellowship; when we cry’ Abba Father’. To be joint with Christ, the starting point is the relationship. We must be God’s children. We must be born of God and we must belong to him. All of us have that relationship. We all are children of God. The difference is in the fellowship; that is where you differentiate them from their giftings. We are all children of God whether the person is born today or ten years ago or fifty years ago. I mean the spiritual born. If you are born again at 50, you are still a baby spiritually. Unlike someone who is 20 years but has been born again for 10 years. We are not counting the natural years but the spiritual years. It is the day you are born again, we start counting your years. We don’t see things or interpret them in the natural ways. Your spirit wants to fellowship God. When you cry ‘Abba Father’, your spirit is fellowshipping God. And the way you fellowship varies. Is it through worship? Hymns? Exhortations? Revelations? Is it in speaking in tongues or interpretation of tongues? Is it in giving? In kindness? In leadership? Is it in administration? All of that should be done for the strengthening of the church; the body of Christ. We cry, ‘Abba Father’. It is a confirmation that you are a child of God. No one will call God, ‘Father’ except he is born again. Those who do it from their head is mere saying. They are just imitating it. It is not from their heart; their spirit. It is self-deception when you call God from your head. You are only deceiving yourself. You must call Him from your heart. If we confess with our mouth, Lord Jesus and we believe in our hearts, that is what brings salvation. So the cry of ‘Abba Father’, is an expression, the bubbling of your heart that flows through the mouth. It is an outpour. The Spirit Himself is bearing witness. As children of God, it is our right to see Him, to hear from Him. We are no more in spiritual death. We are not separated nor alienated from Him. We are not strangers to the Father but fellow workers. ‘I am enjoying this life with Him, it is our living with Him, fellowshipping and labouring with the Man of ages’. We are not slaves nor strangers to the commonwealth; to the Kingdom. We have been made righteous, holy and saints of the living God. Therefore, love, power are not strange to us. We are familiar with them. It comes in our living with Him. They are a manifestation of being tied up with Him, joint with Him and being in union with Him, of being born of the Spirit and born into life. He rubbed it all on you. It wants to produce fruits, He will produce it through you. You are doing that together; co-labourers and you can never fail to be productive. Because He is the Vine-dresser. If a branch is not producing, He will prune it. We are fruit producers. We are productive and useful. This is the gospel we received from the beginning and we stand by it, to hold on to it. When we are not holding on to the gospel, we have destroyed the foundation, making it useless, purposeless and fruitless. I am fruitful. You are fruitful because you are tied up with God and it brings joy to us in the fellowship that we belong. All that we have seen and heard and have passed on to you… I write this that your joy may be full. When you are in this fellowship and you cry ‘Abba Father’, I tell you, your joy is full and it overflows. Because in the fellowship, good things come to you and your joy knows no bound. You must have joy everyday. Joy in the Lord, joy of the Holy Ghost, that is your strength. We cry ‘Abba Fther’, the Spirit Himself is bearing witness with us that we are children of God. It is strange for people to say, ‘I am backsliding’. Children of God cannot backslide because He that has called you, nothing can take you away from His hands. Is it death? Is it sickness? Is it hunger? Is it nakedness? Persecution? Danger or sword? None can separate you from His hands. God cannot cut you off. What is stronger than God that can take you away from His hands. You know where you are? You are in the secret place of the Most High God. Nothing can snatch you away from His hands. What is that situation and circumstance? He said, ‘I will not leave you nor forsake you…’ He is with us till eternity. We are tied up with God. He is the ageless God, the God of yesterday, today and forever more. He will keep you until the end. Therefore, what is that sickness? God is at the scene. He went about doing good, “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross”. “For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing”. We will call into being those things that are not as though they were. What do you desire? Call it and it will happen to you. When you stand to pray, ask that you have received. Whatever you desire, today is the day of manifestation, it will manifest in your lives in Jesus’ name. if we are children and we have been crying Abba Father and the Spirit Himself testifies that we are children of God. Matthew 19:28 (NIV): “Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel”.Welcome to your throne. Welcome to your glory. Begin to judge everything that is strange and foreign. Judge that sickness. Judge that disease. Angels bow before that throne, you are there. We are joint with Him, seated on the twelve thrones; twelve kingdoms. That is power and authority. If indeed we are joint with Him in the suffering, it then means that we also share in His glory. You are sharing in Christ’s glory; seating on glorious thrones. Very wonderful experience. I leave you with the Word.
