James 2:17 (NIV): “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. John 9:4 (NIV): As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work., John 5:17 (NIV): In His defense, Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working.” It was Jesus that was saying that. Remember, He says, we are One. We are joint heirs with God; the Father, God; the Son and God; the Holy Spirit. We must work. Not just work but works! Amos 3:3 (NIV): “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? If there is no agreement between God; the Father, God; the Son and God; the Holy Spirit, then there would be no creation. Therefore, there must be an agreement and it must be backed up by obedience to the Word. John 6:28–29 (NIV): “Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.” John 3:16–17 (NIV): For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him”.Jesus in all His ministry; everything He does, is done by faith because the Father has sent Hm. That is why He said, ‘I cannot do anything except the Father has commanded Me to do it’. He demonstrated faith and believed in the Father and that propelled Him to do great exploits. Without the Father, He said He can do nothing. He agreed with the Father by faith. He said He will not have anything to do on His own except what God has asked Him to do. Beloved, where is your faith? James said, ‘show me a man that has faith and I will show you a man that has works’. Meaning that, ‘without faith, there is no good work’. If you believe in whom God has sent, He has saved you from sin, therefore, there is every need for you and I to work with Him by faith. Remember, faith is living, it is active, it is productive. It is not dead. If you have faith, you will not sit idle. There is something you need to do. God demonstrated the gift of faith by giving. And what did He give? He gave His only begotten Son. God believed that His Son was able to accomplish what He has sent Him to do. Can God believe in you? Can He trust you to do what He has sent you to do? Ask yourself that question. So, if you have faith without works, it is dormant. If you say, ‘I have faith’, and you are not doing anything with the faith, then the faith is not living. It is not active. Hebrews 11:6 (NIV): “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek him”. Faith has a reward. You cannot please God without working for God. A lot of people just come to church on Sunday and go back. They are not serving in any department. There are evangelism, choir, ushering, and other units, get involved and be active. There is no loss in faith, just as Paul said in Acts 27:23. If you are joint-heirs with Christ, if you have been delivered from corruptible to incorruptible, you must work. Don’t sit idly. Don’t be irrelevant. Let us be joint with Christ to expand His kingdom. We cannot say we have faith and continue to be in disobedience with the Word. Obedience is total. What God requires in us is obedience. I have tasted the Word and seen the reality of the Word. James 4:17 (NIV): “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them”. Thank God for the Holy Spirit who is always there to speak to us whenever we want to derail. You know that you are in union with Him, you are supposed to be in Fasting, prayer and meditation programmer, and you are not there. You have no excuse now that the fellowship is closer to you. Anywhere you are, connect and you will receive. We must obey. For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV): “For we live by faith, not by sight”. We don’t do things by the senses but by faith. We are sitting in glory, in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers. Therefore, nothing can destroy us because we are sitting with Him in glory. We are joint with Him by faith. Let us put our faith to work. Faith carries a supernatural anointing that the devil cannot withstand. Even when the devil is saying no, you say yes. Even when you have not received it, say that you have. Speak positive by the instrumentality of faith that is in you. You speak it. It says faith calls those things that be not as though they were. The bible says, “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived, the things God has prepared for those who love Him”.You are qualified to share equal faith with Jesus. He is our Lord and Saviour. Don’t let the devil confuse you. You are qualified. It is faith that speaks to sickness and it disappears. It is faith that moves mountains and the mountains move. He that comes to Him, must believe and there is a reward for those who diligently seeks Him. He says that He honours His Word more that His name. He said when you seek Him, you will find Him. And how do you find Him? It is not by grammatical expressions, it is through His Word. There must be a time to read, meditate and speak His Word. How will you get a revelation from Him when you don’t speak His Word. He said, ‘if thou says to the mountain, be that removed and does not doubt in his heart, it will remove’. Faith says it. Faith declares it. Without a doubt. The opposite of faith is doubt. Without a doubt, you shall receive whatsoever you ask. Say it. Declare it. What you say to yourself comes to pass. What you say to yourself is what will happen to you. When you begin to doubt God, fear comes in and once fear comes in, you will not be able to do anything. Say it! As you are saying it, God is agreeing to it and it is coming to pass. Don’t live your life by what you are seeing. What you are seeing is temporal. Doubt sees temporal things but faith sees eternal things. Temporal things do not last long. Eternal things are those things that will last. When we walk by sight, we suffer a lot of things but by faith, there is no loss. We are joint with Christ in faith. Put your faith to work. Many are where they are today because there is no faith to drive what they desire. What you prophesy comes to you. Beloved, we have something here in this prophetic ministry. If you look at the bible, what the prophet says has come to pass. That means God has spoken. The bible speaks expressively about false prophets. Be careful of them. But thank God, we are not under one. Our prophet is joint with Christ. And God is looking for whom He will pass through. Join yourself with Christ today by faith and step into that shoe. Don’t look at what the devil is doing. He always want to bring distractions. We were oppressed but not depressed. We were persecuted but not out of faith. Join yourself with Him today, we can achieve greater things by faith. Abraham was already walking by faith with God when his faith was tried. God told him to sacrifice his child that he waited for over 75 years. His faith was put to test. In his obedience to God, he offered his only son. Do you know, that was him expressing faith? He didn’t even mention it to his wife. How can you tell your wife that God wants to have her only child that she waited many years for? She will say something else. But Abraham believed God was able to raise Isaac up from the dead even if he killed him. That is faith. Our faith must be tried. Our submission must be tried. The devil will try us but the moment you are in oneness with Christ, there’s an escape. We will not give place to the devil because he will try, but God will surely give us victory. There is victory in Christ Jesus. He that is in Christ has overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the Word of our testimony.James 2:25 (NIV): “In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?” This was someone who had not even received Christ. Her faith was justified by her works. She hid them in her roof. Where is your faith and where is the works that back up your faith? What can you give in exchange for what God has done for you? If not for God, they would have killed us. Where is your faith? What are you doing for your God? We are not saved by remaining idle. We must work. Why are we sent to this world? Is it to have money? To have plenty children? To buy big cars? That is not sign of fulfilment. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul? Every soul is a star. The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few… God is looking for labourers. What are you doing? Don’t say I know how to preach, you do. Is it difficult to say that Jesus is Love? That alone, is a powerful message. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” Me and you are the labourers that would be sent out. People are waiting. We are not designed to suffer. God is faithful to us. The hardship of this present time will not affect us, in Jesus’ name. Amen. God will always look for a way because we are joint-heirs with Him in glory and in faith. You have Jesus, why should you cry for food, for school fees, for house rent? He is ready to do everything for us. Believe Him, act on His Word. Do not allow fear to destroy your faith and confident in God. Pray. Believe God on behalf of your parents and God will open doors for them. We are in union with God and nothing is impossible with God. We have a very powerful access to go to God and ask Him. He says, ‘Ask and you shall be given, seek, and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you’. As long as we are in union, we are not disobedient children. It is only disobedient that will be scared to go to the Father. You have access to Him as an obedient child. You have boldness to ask and you will be given. If you are in obedience with the Word and in connection with Him, go to Him, He will give you what you desire. Beloved, the message this morning says, ‘Joint with Christ in faith’. A christian is Christ-like. Not everyone in church is a christian, some are church-goers. But you are Christ-like and you are not condemned because you walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh. Don’t allow the devil to condemn you. You are connected in the Spirit. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must do so in Spirit and in truth. When we do that, there is no cause for worry. As we are in oneness with Him, we have victory. There is evidence of His hands in our lives. Amen.
