We are God’s building, God’s fellow workers, God’s field. That is the truth. The Word has declared it, and we give all glory to God. We see the model that Christ has given us: He says, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working” (John 5:17, NIV). The Son can do nothing by Himself; He can only do what He sees His Father doing. Because whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. Yes, and He will show Him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it (John 5:19-21, NIV).
We’re taking our reading from John 14:10, 12 (NIV):
“Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not speak on My own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work… Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” That is the revelation: We are One with the Father. We are in union with Him. You can confidently declare what the Word has revealed to you. You and the Father are One. There is no separation. Christ is in you. You are in Him. Is there any separation? No. The separation is over. Sin is over. Spiritual death is over. The Father has life, and you are in Him. He is in you, and you too have life. There is no more separation. Separation from the Father is spiritual death. It is sin. Now that you are in the Father and the Father is in you, your Oneness—your Union—is unbreakable. It can never fail. For He has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5, NIV). You are what the Word says you are. You are what the Father has declared through the power of the Word. And the Holy Spirit, our great Teacher, is revealing this truth to you. The truth is that you are a spirit, because your Father—God—is Spirit. And to live this life successfully, you must live it in the Spirit. Though we are in the flesh, we are not of the flesh. We are spirits. Say it: “I am a spirit.” Know it deeply: “I know that I am a spirit.” You cannot forget who you are. You are a spirit, the child of the living God. That is why you are different. Many are still outside, natural people of the sinful world. They live in spiritual death, separated from the Father. They are weary. They are lost. They don’t know who they are. They have no real identity. But you—child of God—have identity. You have a Father. And by the Spirit, you cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself testifies with your spirit that you are God’s child (Romans 8:15–16, NIV). You have life. You are a co-heir with Christ. In Union with the Father, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are born great—born of the Spirit, born of the Word, born of God. You belong to Him. That is the truth. That is your personal reality.
Jesus says, “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me?” (John 14:10, NIV). The words from the mouth of the Son are not merely His own. He speaks what the Father has taught Him—what to say, how to say it, where to say it—because those words are Spirit and life. They are not of this earth. They are not perishable. They are not empty. They carry life, and that is why they can heal, save, deliver, bless, and strengthen. They can accomplish great and wonderful things. These are the words of God. Through this Word, you can declare, “Let there be light,” and there is light. It cannot fail because it is the Word that comes from Heaven. It is the Word of the living God. Jesus says, “These words are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, doing His work.” He is the One speaking. He is the One stretching out His hand to heal, deliver, and save. He performs miraculous signs and wonders. These are the eternal words of life. They have traveled through generations and have now come to you. They were spoken to the people of old, and now they are poured out in power upon you. These are words of authority—words that create, words that renew. He is creating something new in your life. All things have become new in the name of Jesus. These are the living words—the eternal Word—the Logos. The words born of the Spirit. The words of God that have come to you and are now working in your life. Jesus says, “It is the Father, living in Me, doing His work.” What is God Father doing in your life? In the Church? He is at work in you. You are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10, NIV). He is working in you both to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13, NIV). You are clay in the hands of the Potter. He is shaping you according to His perfect will. He will not stop until something perfect emerges. Cooperate with Him. Yield, persevere until the best comes out of you. He will never destroy your life. His plans for you are not evil—they are plans to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). His purpose is good, inspiring, and transformative. See yourself as He sees you: You are good. You are His masterpiece. Consecrate yourself for this purpose. If you believe in Him, you will do the works He has been doing—and even greater things. Because you are not working alone. The Father is working in you. He is the Vine. You are the branch. “If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, NIV). He is the source. He energizes and strengthens you. He teaches you how to live in accordance with the Word so that the Word may bear fruit in your life. He called you—you did not call yourself. He chose you. He appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last (John 15:16, NIV). The Church must bear fruit. Fruit that is perfect, whole, mature, fit for the Master’s use. This is not your agenda. It is the Master’s agenda. You are His co-labourer, His co-worker. If you believe, you will do what He has done. He has been working from the beginning and He does not change. Malachi 3:6 says, “I the Lord do not change. So you… are not destroyed” (NIV). You are eternal. Say it: “I am eternal.” You live and will continue to live with the Father forever, because He is eternal and His life is in you.
Your life is a mystery—it is the life of God shared with you. It is poured out upon us. We carry it as a fragrance, a testimony of who God is. We are made in His image. We are being conformed to the likeness of His Son. “For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters” (Romans 8:29, NIV). You will do the works He has been doing. What are those works? They are the works that have passed from generation to generation and are now revealed to you. The moment you receive revelation, it is an invitation to walk with God. When you receive a revelation about love, you are invited to live a life of love. When you understand giving, it becomes part of your being. You begin to live a life of generosity. When you receive the revelation of prayer, prayer becomes a lifestyle—not a burden. You discover that in prayer, God speaks. “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26, NIV). He expresses Himself through your spirit. Prayer is a spiritual exercise. It has purpose and power. You do not do it alone. It is the Spirit who teaches you how to pray, and when you pray by the Spirit, the results are guaranteed. In prayer, the answer and the prayer are one.
Listen: your life is fruitful. You will live true to the Word. The Word will manifest goodness in your life. You are stepping into a fruitful life. I see fruitfulness in you. Everywhere you go, your life bears fruit because you understand what that means. You carry the DNA of God. The Word lives in you. You will come to know that you and the Word are one. The Word is true. Say it with me: The Word is true and powerful in my life. The Word is working in my life. With the Word, I am what it says I am. I can do what the Word says I can do. I have what the Word says that I have, through revelation. There is no contradiction—this is your reality. It is personal. You will express this as a personal testimony of your life. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). That is who you are. The Lord has made you great because you believe. You are walking in the works He has been doing since the beginning of time. He says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12). It is not by your limited power, but by the power of the Word. Say it now: It is the power of the Word. It is the power of the Spirit. It is the power of God. I do all things by God’s power. Who shows up when you call on the name of Jesus? Everyone, say “Jesus!” Right now, He is here—performing miracles, signs, and wonders. No one can stop Him! “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Hallelujah! You will do greater things because He has gone to the Father. He left His name with us. He gave us His Word. He filled us with His Spirit. The Teacher—the Spirit of truth—is teaching you the principles, the purpose, the workings, and the ways of the Kingdom. We represent the eternal Kingdom, and we serve in it because Christ left us here as His body—a glorious, radiant body, untouched by sickness or death. “Upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matthew 16:18). Whatever situation you are in, you are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you (Romans 8:37). You are strong. You are spiritually enabled. You are capable of doing extraordinary things because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Declare it: I can do great things because Christ is in me. I am never alone. God is doing a new thing in your life, your marriage, your studies, your business, and your career. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19). He is always at work for a good purpose!
God is the Creator of the world—“Through Him all things were made” (John 1:3). He is not just a creator; He is The Creator. The devil, by contrast, cannot create anything. He only counterfeits, deceives, and destroys. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10). Every trap he sets is to ensnare, to corrupt, and to destroy. But for this purpose the Son of God appeared: to destroy the devil’s work (1 John 3:8). In the name of Jesus, every work of the adversary in your marriage, your children, your spouse, your loved ones, and our nation—Nigeria—is destroyed. That sickness cannot destroy you, because by His wounds, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). I declare healing. I prophesy healing. You are healed in the name of Jesus!
Jesus said, “I am going to the Father” (John 14:12). And now, “God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 2:6). This is a spiritual reality—not just a concept you imagine. It must be spiritually discerned. “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness… because they are discerned only through the Spirit” (1 Corinthians 2:14). You can only understand by the Spirit. When you know, you possess. When you know, you walk toward it. You accept it. You live it. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 4:4), but not you. You are connected by the Spirit and taking possession of all that is yours by faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). Jesus is the message we preach. He is the good news. Greater things than these you will do. Jesus is the head of the Church. We are His body. The head gives the direction; the body obeys. When you obey, He accomplishes His will through you. That’s how you experience God—by joining Him in what He is already doing. You don’t need to strive in your own strength. Just discover what He’s doing and join Him. When you walk in His strength, you succeed. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty (Zechariah 4:6). He teaches you spiritual things through the Holy Spirit—the Comforter—whom the Father sends in Jesus’ name. He is our Teacher. He guides you into truth so you can walk in obedience and fulfill purpose. “This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest” (Hebrews 8:10–11, NIV). “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12). The old covenant is obsolete. You are under the new. You belong to God. He made you what you are by grace. He called you, justified you, and glorified you—conforming you to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29–30). You already know His will. The truth has set you free from the world system, failure, and limitations. You are free. God gave birth to you for a purpose. You are not here by accident. He trusts you with His calling, and His revelation is an invitation to walk in destiny. Stop asking, “What is God’s will for me?” When you know the truth, you already walk in it. If you desire excellence, it is yours. If you want to be a leader, a millionaire, a blessing to many—go for it. You are already equipped by the truth. He wants to take glory through you. “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit” (John 15:7–8). God is accomplishing His purpose through you. He has anointed and protected you for this. Even if trials come, they are only temporary. You are already victorious—“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). Victory is in you because Christ is in you. This is your testimony. This is your life.
